Cyber Security SOC Analyst (m/f/d) Ref. No. 24_79932_14

For our customer in the Space industry located in the Munich area, we are looking for a Cyber Security SOC Analyst with wide technical knowledge on the IT infrastructure with focus on security.

The Cyber Security SOC Analyst is responsible for the Cyber Security of the GCS segment, both in GCC-D and GCC-I. This includes regular system checks, approving changes within the system and ensurence of compliance focusing on the security requirements. Those tasks are reflected within regular security reports towards the customer.

The position will include tasks such as, but not limited to:

• Data extraction from Galileo systems and analysis of those for Cyber Security Reports
• Analysis on the System Hardening Status
• Attendance to several Boards, providing security advise and providing in accordance security assessment for changes to the system, anomalies and procedures
• Establish and maintain a configuration baseline for the System.
• Continuous improvement of the GfR Security Awareness Program
• Ensuring active security measures of the backup site in GCC-I
• Provide support to the integration, testing and handover from equipment developers to Operations, in order to validate the closure of any identified vulnerabilities
• Monthly reports activities

Required Skills:

• Completed university degree in the field of aerospace engineering, industrial engineering with a focus on IT security or cyber security or equivalent
• Work experience in Cyber Security
• Practical experience with system monitoring, log investigations and forensics
• Practical experience of penetration testing, “ethical hacking” and networks forensics and analysis
• Advanced knowledge in scripting and coding, focused on automation
• Demonstrable experience with Linux OS and Microsoft OS
• Data extraction and Data Analysis experience
• Experience with Cyber Security Reports
• Experience with Analysis on the System Hardening Status. System checks
• Configuration baseline maintenance
• Fluent knowledge of English, both written and in spoken form
• Possess good inter-personal and communication skills
• Good written and verbal communication and team working skills
• Able to work in an organised and disciplined manner; in particular, in relation to applying engineering standards and methods
• Self-motivated and able to work independently

Desirable Skills:

• Experienced in supporting integration, testing and handover from equipment, providing security checks
• Able to work under pressure
• Develop and promote best practices for information security
• Analytical mindset, problem-solving skills, adaptability and attention to details

The following additional qualifications are an advantage:

• Knowledge of national legal requirements as well as international standards from information security
• Knowledge of the current security situation and current security threats
• Knowledge of the security-relevant network of the Galileo Control Center desirable
• Awareness of data security
• Certifications in IT security
• Good knowledge of the German language
