Experience in SAP/APO MRP fully exploiting alerts, and exception messages, to enable materials management “by exception”.
Experience with material planning & inventory parameters
Constant monitoring of material requirement and system generated messages and reports, makingappropriate business decisions balancing the need to change short-term material delivery plans vs. the need to keep stability in the plans
Managing material requisitions to deliver stock levels, for each material, in accordance to inventory policy through analysis of all supply chain factors. Maintain all material inventories between the defined Min and Max inventory levels.
Weekly coordination with Procurement to ensure that forecasted Supplier deliveries arealigned with the Material Plan and the needs of the Site.
Weekly coordination with Quality to ensure the forecasted Material releases are aligned with the Material Plan and the needs of the Site.
Weekly coordination with Production planners in order to continuously align the Material Plan with the Production Plan.
Evaluation of change requests from the Production planner and informing responsible Procurement Buyer, change that require a change to open Purchase Orders (e.g. cancellation, delay or expedite). Coordinate feasibility evaluation with Procurement and provide feedback to the Production Planner.
The skills you need:
Minimum of 3-years’ experience as a Supply/Production Planner within Pharma or other batch production, make to stock, manufacturing environments.
Minimum of 3-years’ experience with SAP MPS and MRP and APO SNP and/or PP/DS.
Knowledge of shipping and receiving – material planners plan and verify incoming and outgoing shipments and fully understand the process of preparing and receiving shipments
Knowledge of manufacturing process – managing the supply of materials for manufacturing means material planners are highly skilled in all processes related to the manufacturing their company performs
Time management – material planners must keep tight schedules and possess the ability to prioritize, schedule, and set and meet manufacturing goals
