As a Technical Project Buyer you are the link between the R&D, the business units, and the Strategic Purchasers. You develop products, from projects to serial products and support the project teams in selecting the best suitable components. You are the source for optimal supplier and partner control, and fulfill our product needs.
• Explore and source the right partners, suppliers, products and projects;
• Create an optimal and cost-efficient supply chain;
• Manage, end-to-end, the purchasing process for the assigned projects;
• Assess the current purchase orders based on agreed conditions of the company; ;
• Secure, using Early Supplier Involvement (ESI), the time to market and its improvement;
• Support all interfacing departments and stakeholders;
• Supervise the transfer of new products;
• Implement and manage the critical paths and milestones;
• Provide clear documentation and ensure good administration.
• Visit suppliers in and outside of Europe to improve relationships between the companies and understand their processes to have a clear understanding of the pricing of projects.
• At least 3-5 years of experience in purchasing, in the electrical or electronics industry;
• Finished Bachelor’s or Master’s degree, preferably in the technical field;
• Knowledge of how mechanical and electro-mechanical components are manufactured;
• Excellent negotiation skills;
• Ability to be analytical and numbers-driven, cost-sensitive, organized, good decision-maker;
• Capacity to report accurately and keep an overview of large data;
• Microsoft Office (Teams, Excel, Outlook, Word, PowerPoint);
• You are fluent in English (C1).
• Understanding the electronic manufacturing service (EMS) is considered an advantage;
