Big Data Engineer

Orange Moldova is looking for a new colleague to fill in the of Big Data Engineer.

We are looking for a Big Data Engineer that will work on the collecting, storing, processing, and analyzing(in real-time/near real-time/offline modes) of huge sets of data using technologies and tools from BigData ecosystem stack.

what you will be doing:

• handling, transforming & managing big volume of data using BigData Frameworks & SQL/NoSQL databases.
• realtime/offline data collection, processing and storage for further analysis & business requirements.
• development of campaing management usecases based on BigData solutions.
• preparation of dedicated DataMarts based on collected data in DWH and Hadoop cluster.
• maintenance and optimization of existing data flows and buisness usecases.
• development of data projects in Google Cloud(GCP)
• designing the architecture of BigData platform
• monitoring BigData ecosystem, running processes and business usecases.

what we are looking for:

• proficient in designing efficient and robust ETL workflows
• skills in BigData Frameworks/Hadoop-based technologies: HDFS, MapReduce, YARN, Sqoop, Oozie, Spark, HBase.
• good knowledge of BigData querying tools: Hive, Impala
• experience with languages: Python, Java, Scala
• main principles of data transport/processing tools: NiFi, Kafka
• advanced SQL knowledge and experience in relational databases: Oracle, PostgreSQL
• linux and shell scripting knowledge would be a big plus
• experience with machine learning algorithms would be a plus
• experience with Google Cloud(GCP) tools is an advantage
• experience in telecommunications business is an advantage
• technical English in corresponding area
