QA Analyst

Responsibilities
Take full ownership of the quality assurance process for our React/Django web application, from test planning through sign-off.
Design, execute, and document comprehensive manual test cases (functional, regression, UI, cross-browser, and exploratory).
Identify, report, and track defects in Jira and work closely with developers to reproduce issues and verify fixes.
Collaborate with product and engineering to understand features and acceptance criteria; ensure all work meets healthcare-grade security and compliance standards.
Participate in sprint ceremonies and stand-ups; adapt QA activities to evolving priorities and team needs.
Provide timely test status updates and quality metrics to stakeholders.
Key Requirements
3+ years of hands-on QA experience in a mid- or senior-level role, ideally in a regulated (healthcare/finance) environment.
Proven expertise in manual testing of web applications (functional, regression, UI, cross-browser).
Strong familiarity with React-based front-end and Django/Python back-end architectures.
Comfortable using Jira (or equivalent) for test-case management, bug tracking, and reporting.
Nice to Have
Hands-on experience with test automation frameworks or scripting (e.g., Cypress, Selenium, pytest); able to write or review simple automated smoke/regression scripts.
Familiarity with performance or security testing tools (e.g., JMeter, OWASP ZAP).
Prior exposure to hybrid Agile environments and ability to adapt QA processes on the fly.
Understanding of HIPAA requirements for web-app testing (data privacy, access controls, audit trails).
Experience in end-to-end testing of HIPAA-compliant systems or other regulatory frameworks (PCI DSS, GDPR).
Any contributions to QA process improvements: templates, checklists, dashboarding of quality metrics, etc.
