Commodity Manager (Electronic Components)
Position Responsibilities:
-Manages the supply chain for electronic components by monitoring, reporting, and providing solutions on issues that could affect quality, delivery, or pricing.
-Establishes contractual agreements between the company and external sources of supply: pricing negotiation, quality, delivery, and other terms based on TCO.
-Industry benchmarking, supplier risk assessment, and mitigation plans reporting.
-Responsible for the establishment of annual cost reduction targets for the assigned commodity or project.
-Participates in supplier and component qualification process.
-Develops customer confidence in overall supply chain management through customer interaction.
-Support as needed material cost information to aid in make/buy decisions.
-Drive SMI/VMI or KANBAN opportunity identification and implementation.
-Will act as a point of escalation for component issues as appropriate.
Position Requirements:
-Bachelor’s Degree within a Business acumen.
-Commodity Specific knowledge with both domestic and international exposure.
-Excellent communication at all levels, written and verbal.
-Effective negotiations and influencing skills, risk assessment, and contract management experience.
-Excellent interpersonal skills with co-workers, suppliers, and customers.
-Strong understanding of the business’s extended process as well as broad business knowledge/perspective.
-Experienced in Microsoft Office package software.
-Knowledgeful of ERP tools.
-Fluent in English (speaking, reading, and writing).
