Global Procurement & Supply Chain Expert

 

 

Purpose of the role

The Global Procurement & Supply Chain Expert is responsible to deploy and monitor procurement and supply chain processes within regions, to pro-actively support the operational teams in management of material coverage and inventory to meet the defined on-time and on-quality material delivery objectives in production or aftermarket. The Global Procurement & Supply Chain Expert is the second level of escalation to solve process issues and continually improve the supply chain process, including monitoring and taking the necessary corrective and preventive actions, as well as considering potential for automation or outsourcing of specific tasks or activities of the supply chain process.


Responsibilities:

Support Global Procurement and Supply Chain Teams, Ensure Compliance and Lead Continuous Improvements on: 

  • Establish and deploy process standardization across Procurement and Supply Chain activities in line with Global Directives;
  • Support, develop and deploy Global/Regional process standardization and optimization projects (E2E Process Flows, VSM, SIPOCs);
  • Develop/improve and deploy new tools/KPIs to support Procurement and Supply Chain activities and ensure material availability;
  • Active involvement in creation of global directives and procedures, operation models, JDs, RACI;
  • Define and deliver training material and working instructions at Global/Regional /Site level;

 

  • Involvement in ad-hoc Projects/Task Force Teams to assess and optimize operational activities (RCA, 5Why, PDCA);
  • Day-to-day project development and deployment across multiple Site/Regional Teams;
  • Perform risk and maturity assessments at Site level across Procurement and Supply Chain activities;
  • Support Global/Site MRP Master data set up (procurement, supply chain and logistics views in SAP);
  • Act as support to the Supply Chain Key User to drive data improvement and awareness within organization;
  • Ensure liaise within stakeholder functions and management: Procurement, Supply Chain, Operations, Methods, Logistics, etc) for a basic understanding of what is MRP & its the impact through the enterprise performance.

 

Support Operational Teams, Ensure Compliance and Lead Continuous Improvements on: 

Procurement and Material Management:

  • Ensure solid understanding of demand planning, procurement, supply chain and logistic processes of the Operational Teams.
  • Ensure second level of escalation after Process Specialist Team to solve Process/SAP issues and continually improve the supply chain process, by monitoring Operational Teams taking the necessary corrective and preventive actions
  • Support GPC Operational Teams during transfers and ensure successful transitions of new roles (AsIs Mapping, ToBe Process design, Lift& Shift, Gap Analysis)
  • Support GPC Operational Teams with monitor process execution during hyper care period, after transition
  • Ensure process standardization across all activities transferred to GPC
  • Act as support to the Operational Teams in relation with SAP Key Users/MRP Controllers to drive material data improvement and awareness within Site level organization
  • Responsible for regular operational trainings and skill enhancement on global process directives with site-specific support

 

 

Requirements for the role:

  • Engineering Degree or Business Degree/Supply Chain or similar complemented by a demonstrated track record;
  • Minimum 5 years of relevant experience into a complex procurement and supply chain functions;
  • Solid knowledge and experience of SAP (MM, PP, SD, WM);
  • Solid knowledge in setting up MRP Master Data (procurement and logistics view) into local ERP system;
  • Experience in conducting regular reviews with Procurement, Supply Chain, material management, and operations to drive continuous improvement;
  • Solid knowledge and experience of using MRP (Material Requirements Planning) systems or similar.
  • Solid understanding of Lean principles;
  • Solid procurement and production knowledge to work as interface between both functions within the supply chain;
  • Expertise in ERP techniques and supplier collaboration tools, expertise in logistics / supply chain;
  • Experience in creating procedure documentation, training material, working instructions;
  • Strong Negotiation/Influencing skills, Advanced Communication and Presentation skills in English.
