Product Engineer

The Product Engineer is responsible for all manufacturing processes, materials, and tooling to ensure that products are assembled according to customer expectations.

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES

•   Defines the production processes and assuring the equipment and tools needed to assemble the product according to customer documentation.

·         Setting up product routing, BOM and  traceability in ERP systems

·         Creates new tools and jigs to reduce manufacturing cycle time

·         Creates and maintain  product specific documents like Process Flow,  FMEA and Work Instructions

·         Analyze returned goods/defect products using 5-Why,8D report, Ishikawa diagram

·         Provides technical support to internal departments and clients

·         Review of Engineering Change Orders change (ECO) applicable to production line

·         Follows and supports cost reduction activities to achieve the objectives set by the company.

·         Participates in Lean, Six Sigma, and Kaizen continuous improvement activities

·         Training of the direct labor involved in manufacturing

·         Leads internal and external corrective action plans

·         Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS

·         4 year Engineering or Technical degree preferred

·         0-3+ years of electronics manufacturing experience

·         Ability to work individually or in teams

·         Ability to support a 24/7 global business operation as required

·         Understanding of and ability to use metrics and continuous improvement tools (e.g. DPMO, FPY, DPM, Six Sigma, FMEA, etc.)

·         Excellent written and verbal communication skills

·         Effective multitasking skills and the ability to take on additional responsibilities as required

·         Effective organization and prioritization skills

·         Demonstrate high attention to detail

·         Strong customer service and client focus

·         Working knowledge of productivity tools, including Microsoft Office products and WebEx conferencing software

·         Good knowledge of English language (both spoken and written)
