Description
Works as part of the Design Group,
within Global Communications & Information Security to engineer secure
segmentation solutions. This includes
designing both templated segmentation solutions for common use cases and acting
as a consultant for custom requirements.
This role although aligned under LAN
Services will work closely with other service owners and Business/IT groups to
ensure any segmentation solution operates ‘end to end’ from the LAN (including
Wireless), across the WAN between locations and into our Data Center’s where
required
Responsibilities
With responsibility, as assigned,
for coordinating any design work that involves segmentation in Global
Communications & Information Security
· Works on multiple simultaneous projects to implement new
technologies and configuration in conjunction with other Global Communications
& Information Security groups
· Ensure any changes that impact other parts of the Corporate
IT are clearly communicated and understood to all interested parties
· Acts as a lead and subject expert for network
technologies/services within the group as assigned
· Participates in and applies the same Process for subsequent
service releases as defined by the Service Roadmap
· Acts as interface between Service Design and Service
Delivery/Operations for all services
· Provides 4th level support to Operations for escalated
issues and drives these to resolution
· Works with Transition Engineering on chronic Problems
determining root cause and remediation actions
Requirements
· BA/BS in Information Systems or related area required
· Excellent Communication and Teamwork skills
· Process Discipline and Documentation skills essential
· Minimum of ten years’ experience in the design,
implementation and operation of WAN/LAN/Wireless networks with Cisco hardware
· Experience of VRF (Virtual Router Forwarding) in a Cisco
environment
· Experience of Cisco ISE (Identity Services Engine)
· Experience of Segmentation in a mixed Cisco/Palo Alto/F5
environment preferred
· Experience of Cisco TrustSec preferred
· Minimum five years’ experience of working in a global
environment, dealing with multiple time zones essential
· Experience of operating in an Enterprise environment with
strict change control procedures
· ITIL v3 Foundation
