Test Engineer Embedded Systems (f/m/d)

Tasks

• Writing and implementing test cases based on feature requirements
• Analyzing implemented Simulink models to assert functionality
• Ensuring that the test steps have a logical flow that mimic the natural interaction of the system
• Implementation of unit, integration, system as well as validation tests
• Reporting and recording software discrepancies in order to achieve project goals
• Comparing the test results for different implementations of the same software module and identifying the root cause for any differences
• Determining the best test methods for new software features
• Scripting work for system validation or profiling
• Working with custom project tools used in testing the product and for automating test suites
• Working in accordance with ASPICE standards

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in information technology or an equivalent education
• Several years of professional experience in software testing in a related field
• Many years of professional experience in working with model-based software tools like Matlab, Simulink, Stateflow and TPT
• Basic knowledge of automotive control and communication protocols as CAN, FlexRay and Ethernet is considered a plus
• Good working knowledge of MS Office
• English language is mandatory and German language is considered a plus
• Strong communication and teamwork skills as well as a high affinity for delivering first-quality engineering services to the customer
• Collaborating with international project teams
• Willingness to travel
