What a Global Commodity Manager Direct Material does:

• Commercial and technical quotation and product analysis, price plausibility checks
• Preparing technical and commercial argumentation for Sourcing
• Analysis, reports, data management, tracking and change management for Central Strategic Purchasing
• First escalation level for logistic, quality issues
• Global responsibility for commodity strategy together with the Category Manager
• Build up and further develop a global supplier base for specific products
• Final negotiation and presentation of results in the Sourcing Committee
• Nomination of suppliers
• Maintaining the relation with the suppliers
• Cross functional activities with other departments: Supplier Management, Quality, Technical, Logistics

The next Global Commodity Manager Direct Material needs:

• University degree in Economics or Technical field
• Professional experience in an international environment (automotive industry preferred)
• Very good English knowledge, German is a plus
• Good knowledge of PCs, Excel database
• Distinctive self-confidence / ability to assert oneself
• Hard working, loyal and with a proactive attitude
• Analytical skills, attention to details, structured way of working, technical interest
