IT Support Engineer (f/m/d)

Tasks:

The IT support engineer will join a team focused on providing technical support to local users, assuring a customized service concerning standard applications and hardware. The successful candidate will have experience with managing and configuring IT equipment and applications. Excellent written and verbal communication skills are necessary, as the position require a good working relationship with internal and external customers and other professionals, such as software developers.

• Installing and configuring computer hardware, software, systems, networks, printers and scanners
• Monitoring and maintaining computer systems and networks
• Responding in a timely manner to service issues and requests
• Providing technical support to local users, this may be in person, over the phone or by email
• Setting up accounts for new users
• Repairing and replacing equipment as necessary
• Participating to IT infrastructure projects
• Collaborating in international project teams, involving also travelling

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in information technology or an equivalent education
• Several years of work experience in technical support
• Ability to diagnose and troubleshoot basic technical issues
• Proficient in MS Office Suite, Windows 7, Windows 10 and Mac OSX
• Basic networking knowledge
• Ability to prioritize and delegate
• Strong communication and team-working skills as well as a high affinity for delivering first-quality engineering services to the customer
