For our Data & Analytics team in Cluj-Napoca, we are looking for 2x Data Engineers and 1x Data Science interns for 3 months!

Data Engineer
We are hiring an intern in our Data Engineering team to join us in building and maintaining efficient data pipelines that transform raw data into valuable insights!
What You Will Be Doing:
- Collaborate to design and build data pipelines, data warehousing solutions, and ETL (extract, transform, load) processes to support the growth of our business needs.
- Work on high priority data science projects tied to corporate strategy.
- Collaborate with data science, data warehouse, and other engineering teams to provide data-driven insights.
- Optimize and deploy machine learning models for production in batch, streaming and web API scenarios.
Your Future Team:
Our team of 9 data engineers and machine learning engineers is a growing team and receives projects and support from executive leadership. We are a tight-knit reciprocal group who enjoy spending time with each other in and out of work.
Who You Are:
Required Skills and Competencies
- Bachelor’s degree in: computer science, software/computer engineering, or information technology.
- Programming Languages: Strong proficiency in at least one programming language, particularly Python, is essential. Familiarity with scripting languages like Bash or Shell is a plus.
- Databases: Experience with relational databases (SQL) and potentially NoSQL databases is desired. Understanding of data warehouse concepts like data modeling is beneficial.
- Problem-Solving & Analytical Thinking: You should be able to approach problems logically, identify patterns in data, and draw insights.
- Communication: Strong written and verbal communication skills are essential to convey findings effectively to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Curiosity & Desire to Learn: A passion for big data and a willingness to learn new things.
- Collaboration: The ability to work effectively with data scientists, analysts, and other team members is necessary.
Preferred Skills and Competencies
- Master’s degree in a related field: computer science, big data, or high performance computing.
- Cloud Platforms (Optional): Familiarity with cloud platforms like Azure, GCP, or AWS
- Big Data (Optional): Knowledge of large scale distributed big data frameworks like Spark.
Data Scientist
We are hiring an intern in our Data Science team to assist with analytics projects that drive strategic initiatives!
What You Will Be Doing:
- Being part of the Data Science team, you will be working on analytics projects to support the corporate strategy.
- Work on initiatives to save time and money, optimize performance; and reduce company waste.
- You will gain hands-on experience with predictive modeling, machine learning, optimization, forecasting, and applied statistics on real business problems.
Your Future Team:
Our group consists of 15 analysts divided into multiple specialized teams. We work with business leaders on various projects, with the objective of providing them valuable insights to support business decisions. We are a team of dynamic professionals who enjoy spending time with each other in and out of work.
Who You Are:
Required Skills and Competencies
- Bachelor’s degree in statistics, computer science, mathematics, or economics.
- Programming Languages: Proficiency in at least one programming language like Python or R is essential. Familiarity with SQL for database querying is a big plus.
- Statistics & Mathematics: A good understanding of statistical concepts like hypothesis testing, linear regression, and probability is necessary.
- Data Analysis & Manipulation: Experience with data wrangling, cleaning, and transformation techniques is desired.
- Data Visualization: The ability to create clear and informative data visualizations.
- Problem-Solving & Analytical Thinking: You should be able to approach problems logically, identify patterns in data, and draw insights.
