YOUR TASKS

• Development of sustainable, complex software applications in the FE environment in compliance with the general development principles
• Creation of a good user experience for our customers
• Development of (Hornbach-specific) expert knowledge for optimal support of the departments and their system-supported processes
• Participation in feasibility studies, cost estimates
• Project collaboration
• Maintaining the HORNBACH software architecture
• Implementation of complex software applications (incl. unit tests and other test automations as well as technical documentation)
• Optimization and refactoring of existing software applications
• Operation of the software applications when going live and during operation

REQUIREMENTS

Professional skills:

• Has applied expertise in using web development technologies (HTML5, JavaScript, REACT, CSS, REST, HTTP)
• Has applied expert knowledge in the use of software testing technologies (unit testing, UI testing, load and performance testing, integration testing)
• Has applied expert knowledge in the area of general development principles (. object orientation, modularity, performance, security, clean code, scalability, extensibility)
• Has basic knowledge of design and usability guidelines for software applications (Google Material Guide, Apple Human Interface Guidelines))
• Possesses basic knowledge in the use of other development technologies (Java, Docker, ...)
• Skills in UI Design and User Experience Design
• Willingness to develop further to become a full-stack developer

Methodically Skills:

• Working knowledge of collaboration tools such as JIRA and Confluence
• Has experience in Test Driven Development
• Analysis of complex issues and visualization of them
• Recipient-oriented presentation and evaluation of facts and their alternative solutions
• Independent way of working
• Solid experience with agile methods, principles and practices (. Scrum, Kanban, etc.)
• Has experience in pair programming
