QA Automation Engineer

Your main responsibilities:

• Participate in the design of features, systems, and services to ensure testability.
• Create and execute an integration and validation plan across the ecosystem.
• Ensure test plans reduce or eliminate risk throughout the product SDLC (Software Delivery Life Cycle)
• Collaborate with teams to identify and mitigate areas of risk between subsystems.
• Identify critical integration testing schedules ensuring component integrations are qualified.
• Partner with tools and infrastructure teams to ensure the test framework meets needed testing capabilities.
• Create, and maintain automated tests.
• Investigate, replicate, and document issues encountered by utilizing logs and source code reviews.
• Install and configure the test environments.
• Assist with end-to-end manual tests.
• Contribute to overall process improvement by identifying trends and issues from root-cause analysis and developing recommendations for resolution.
• Maintain knowledge of testing approaches and across the software industry
• Work with minimum supervision and work independently to accomplish assigned projects.

• Bachelor’s degree preferably in Computer Science
• 5+ years of experience in QA Automation
• 2+ years of experience in Cloud Services (nice to have AWS experience)
• 2+ years of experience in Python
• Experience with testing automation frameworks (e.g. Robot Framework) and Linux to support the infrastructure, oriented on test knowledge but capable of covering most of the requirements for Engineers in a support role.
• Familiar with REST framework.
• Fast learner. Will primarily be responsible for coaching the dev teams in setting up their test (what to test and how to test).
• Knowledge of Docker-based systems is nice to have
