Material Planner - Cluj

The Material Planner is responsible for handling the end-to-end planning and procurement process for a portfolio of products to ensure stock availability on time and in full whilst balancing stock levels by working closely with suppliers, factories, the Commercial team, and the New Product Development team. The role has to plan and liaise proactively with commercial and demand planning in operations to ensure supply and constraints are properly managed.

Job Description:

• Follows the production plan, components orders, inventory reports;
• Receives and confirms the production plan based on material availability;
• Analyzes critical components;
• Prepares and sends to suppliers the orders for components, based on the raw materials requirements resulting from the production plan and the objectives set for components inventory (DOI KPI);
• Prepares inventory reports;
• Coordinates the implementation of the new projects and components;
• Responsible for proper phase in / phase out of replaced components;
• Responsible for the management of obsolescence;
• Communicate with internal and external stakeholders: production planners, custom clearance officer, area coordinators, suppliers;
• Is responsible for performance indicators: Delivery of the Components on Time (OTD), Production Plan Fulfillment, Days of Inventory (DOI), and Premium Freight Expenses.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree;
• Knowledge of ERP systems (preferably SAP)
• Experience 2-3 years as a material planner or production planner in a production environment;
• Fast reaction to changes;
• Has the capability to work with multiple tasks in a short time;
• Quick decision taker;
• Analytical and numerical competences;
• Capacity to work under pressure, with deadlines;
• English – intermediate B2;
• Italian is not mandatory but is a major plus.
