About the Role


At CLA Romania, we’re looking for a driven Audit Manager to join our team and play a key role in leading audit engagements and delivering high-quality audit services to our clients.

Key Responsibilities

·        Work mainly on Audit engagements;

·        Work under the coordination of the Audit Manager of b2 team for large and medium size companies - Romanian and international clients;

·        Lead project teams on Romanian and international clients – small-size companies;

·        Evaluation, together with the audit team, of the accounting and internal control system of clients;

·        Perform analytical procedures – comparisons between years, evolutions throughout the year – indicators, balances, etc.; the processing of received information and documents (check balances, journal entries);

·        Application of detailed tests, the conduct of conformity tests, confirm the allocation of working sections;

·        Collecting the necessary evidence to draw conclusions and express opinions on financial statements;

·        Application of financial audit rules (fundamental procedures and principles underlying the activity);

·        Ensure that all accounting records correctly transpose actual operations (checking the reality of the records);

·        Preparing the audit planning documentation for the review of the Audit Manager and of the Audit Partner;

·        Informing audit seniors/assistants/juniors on the audit plan, their responsibilities & the objectives to perform;

·        Performing the engagement administration review to ensure that the seniors, assistants, and juniors have properly carried out the work assigned to them;

·        Review the audit programs and that the conclusions are properly filled in;

·        Falls within the work schedule and the set deadlines;

·        Review and application of tests on the continuity of activity, as well as events after the balance sheet date;

·        Preparation of the proposed adjustments (audit differences);

·        General review of the client's financial statements and reporting package;

·        Preparting Audit Summary Memorandum, Auditor’s Report, Representation Letter, Management Letter, and deliverables to the group auditor for the review of the Audit Manager and of the Audit Partner.

·        Develop senior and junior staff by providing on-the-job training and appropriate performance feedback;

·        Develop and maintain strong professional relationships with client management;

·        Act as a role model in the team and deputize for and assist the Head of Audit within the team as and when required;

·        Participate in the recruitment process, interviewing potential new starters and supporting the review of assessment center/tests as required

·        Managing and optimizing your team’s workflow and utilization to ensure the allocation, completion, and timely delivery of audit work to a high standard and quality

·        Ensuring your team achieves their KPIs, identifying performance gaps, and supporting the team to address these. Pro-active management and monitoring of performance and addressing early concerns coaching and escalating where required;

·        Supporting, advising, and monitoring team members in the completion and delivery of a range of audit tasks and undertaking detailed reviews of their work;

·        Acting as the overarching point of contact for engagement teams about the completion and delivery of audit work.

·        Contribute to the business development of the portfolio of clients.

 

What We’re Looking For

  • 5+ years of audit experience;
  • A professional accounting qualification (ACCA or equivalent in progress);
  • Strong understanding of audit theory, ISA’s and IFRS’s;
  • Proficiency with email and Microsoft Office applications;
  • Very good English level;
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills including good consultative and negotiation skills;
  • Use straightforward communication, in a structured way, when influencing and connecting with others;
  • Excellent relationships building skills;
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills;
  • Strong sense of ownership accountability and drive to deliver quality outcomes;
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively, with emerging coaching and development capability;
  • Demonstrate a commitment to developing yourself and others;
