UXtechnical writer, Demant

The Software Solutions organization in Demant are looking for a UX/technical writer to join us at our office in Smørum, Denmark. As UX writer you will join the team, consisting of 10 people (Product Designers, UX Researchers and UX Writers). Depending on your experience, this could be a senior position. 

Software Solutions have been working agile for a long time, and we have started a new journey in agility and implemented SAFe – Scaled Agile Framework. We need a UX/technical writer to join one of our agile release trains working with our fitting software.  

Your key tasks will be to

• Write clear, consistent and concise text for new features in the software, such as dialogs, labels, and error messages.
• Write user documentation (help) for new features and ensure that it is comprehensive and easy to use.
• Write with localization in mind – know what works for localization and what doesn’t.
• Prepare projects for translation and assist our translation coordinator in handling translation projects with our translation agency and proofreaders.   
• Use and further develop style and tone of voice guidelines.
• Contribute to the improvement of team processes.

Professional competencies 

• You have worked as a UX writer or technical writer for 5+ years.
• You are proficient in spoken and written English. 
• You have experience working in a software development environment or with agile methodologies. 
• You are quick to understand complex concepts and able to communicate them using plain language. 
• You enjoy collaborating closely with colleagues and have great soft skills such as communication and relationship-building.
• You have good problem solving and analytical skills, combined with a structured approach. 
• You are familiar with the design process for software products/mobile apps, usability and UX best practices.

Beneficial to have

• Experience with help authoring tools (we use MadCap Flare) and HTML/CSS
• Experience with source control (we use Visual studio/TFS)
• Experience with translation tools (we use Passolo)
• Basic knowledge of Figma
