As a full time Simulation Model Developer Engineer in our Test Environment team, your responsibilities will be to develop simulation models for Hardware In the Loop (HIL) testbenches to support new functions, technology introduction or new test requests on our automotive products (hybrid or electric vehicle components such as battery management systems, inverters, dcdc converters or chargers).
 

As a Simulation Model Developer Engineer in our Test Environment team you will do plenty of:

 

  • Analysis of project requirements related to test requests that may require adaptation or new models development;
  • Design, development & validation of models;
  • Creation of associated model documentation;
  • Carrying out a finalization review with the project;
  • Update models to increase representativeness, robustness, efficiency, usability;
  • Provides support for projects in reusing those models and configuring them for a dedicated project;
  • Performs technical analysis of problems;
  • Strong collaboration with our model developer specialists in an international context, improving and synchronizing modeling process and technologies used in the different products.
  • A mentor will support you to stepwise take over own responsibility after an initial training phase which will familiarize you with our products, tools, processes and organization.


As a Simulation Model Developer Engineer in our Test Environment team you will bring with you the following qualifications and skills:

 

  • University degree in electronical/electric/software engineering or comparable qualification (technical profile: Electronics and Communication, Automation and Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics).
  • +3 years professional experience in simulation model development.
  • Knowledge of development environment for modeling and simulation (Matlab Simulink)
  • Knowledge of FPGA modeling
  • Knowledge of HIL test benches (dSPACE systems)
  • Knowledge of electronics, microcontrollers / embedded systems knowledge and function behavior knowhow in electrical systems.
  • Knowledge of automotive standards and communication protocols (CAN, LIN, FlexRay, SENT)
  • Basic usage of instrumentation for measurement and control (e.g. oscilloscopes, power supplies, multimeters).
  • Good English language skills (written and spoken, at least C1 level); good communication skills and passion for work in an international team.
  • Good analytical reasoning, problem solving oriented, ability to understand complex systems, initiative, dedication, attention to detail; good planning and organizing abilities.
  • Self-motivated, able to work both independently and in a team environment.


Would be a plus:


• Experience in specifications / requirements analysis and management (eg. using tools like DOORS, JIRA, MKS);
• Experience with Automotive testing tools and Software (e.g. INCA, Lauterbach, CANalyzer, CANape, DSPACE simulators / ControlDesk, Matlab Simulink, etc).
