In order to better
implement our development strategy, we are looking for a Commodity Purchaser (Mechanics).
Job description:
- Evaluation,
selection and development of suppliers within the framework of the
assigned product groups;
- Develop and
implement of the (global) commodity procurement strategy with the aim of
ensuring long-term and cost-effective supplies;
- Enforcing
alternative sources to minimize lead times, inventories and costs;
- Coordinate
and monitor the contractual agreements in order to prepare and document
new/re-negotiations and initiate appropriate measures;
- National
and international market observation in order to introduce new suppliers,
product derivatives, product innovations in the purchasing portfolio;
- Responsibility
for the commodity supplier portfolio;
- Prepare
sourcing decisions according the commodity sourcing strategy;
- Maintain
master data and general purchasing administrative tasks within the global
purchasing network;
- Support
cross-functional partners in case of escalation;
- Participate
in annual price negotiations to achieve global price budget;
- Observance
for global compliance guidelines and legal requirements;
- Integrity
and trustworthy collaboration with superiors and cross-functional parties.
Ideal candidate:

Mandatory – graduate of technical mechanical studies;
·
Minimum 3-5 years experience in purchasing in the
automotive industry;
·
English
language: advanced level;
·
German language: is considered an advantage;
·
Advanced negotiation skills/ knowledge of commercial
terms/ contract management;
·
Availability for internal/external travel;
·
Analytical
thinking and synthesis;
·
Good knowledge of the current market situation in the
field of activity (mechanical).
