We are hiring an MLOps Engineer in Cluj-Napoca to ensure the successful deployment, maintenance and optimization of Machine Learning and Data Science models. If you’re passionate about model deployment, automation, and optimizing ML workflows, we’d love to hear from you!
What You Will Be Doing:
- Collaborate closely with Data Engineering, Data Science, and other stakeholders to ensure successful deployment and management of Machine Learning and Data Science models in production environments.
- Automate and enhance the model lifecycle management process.
- Ensure quality, minimize disruption, and maximize uptime, all while delivering value through analytic products.
- Confront complex challenges arising from the dynamic and data-dependent nature of Data Science models, playing an integral role in our productive Data Science Practice.

As an MLOps Engineer, you’ll be an integral part of our collaborative Data Science Practice, working closely with Data Engineering and Data Science. We work with business leaders on various projects, with the objective of providing them valuable insights to support business decisions. We are a tight-knit reciprocal group who enjoy spending time with each other in and out of work. We operate under Agile methodologies, emphasizing accountability, flexibility, perseverance, and adaptability.
Who You Are:
Required Skills and Competencies:
- Proficiency in DevOps practices such as CI/CD pipelines, Infrastructure as Code (IaC), monitoring, and logging.
- Knowledge of ML basics (supervised and unsupervised learning, feature engineering, model evaluation, etc.) and ability to work with ML frameworks (e.g. scikit-learn and TensorFlow or PyTorch).
- Proficiency in programming languages (e.g. Python, Java, Scala) and scripting languages (e.g. Bash).
- Experience with web backend development including designing and implementing APIs, preferably RESTful APIs.
- Experience with ML model metrics to track for data drift and model drift, and manage model retraining.
- Prior independent, academic, or work experience in the above areas is required.
- Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
- Ability to collaborate on multi-disciplinary Agile teams to manage the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) of ML and other Data Science models.
- Bachelor’s degree in: computer science, software/computer engineering, information technology or related fields is preferred.
Preferred Skills and Competencies:
- Knowledge of ML life cycle management frameworks (e.g. MLFlow) and ML platforms (e.g. Azure Machine Learning, Databricks Model Hosting).
- Knowledge of data analytics libraries (e.g. PySpark, pandas, NumPy).
- Knowledge of DevOps tools (e.g. Azure DevOps, Jenkins, Docker, Kubernetes).
- Functional understanding of firewalls and encryption.
- Experience with cloud platforms such as Azure, AWS, or GCP for model deployment.
- Experience with system integration in an enterprise setting.
