We are hiring a Sales Support Project Coordinator with French to join our team in Cluj Napoca and support the French Sales organization. Our Sales Resource Network team supports the internal sales organization to translate our insights into office furniture solutions for our customers. The group is responsible for creating significant, positive, innovative, and memorable impact on regional sales, the tailoring of the client experience, being a single point of entry for sales (coordinating sales enabling functions) & creating customer-specific communication materials.

What You Will Be Doing:

Assist senior Proposal Coordinators or independently handle smaller projects:

  • Collaborate with sales team to form an internal cross-functional group including sales reps and experts from support functions.
  • Understand client needs from tender documents and sales input, then align resources, prepare strategy, assign tasks, and manage proposal process in a timely manner.
  • Develop positive relationships with colleagues from various departments like Pricing, Contracts, Engineering, Product Marketing, Procurement and all sales support departments.
  • Enhance capabilities in managing sales opportunities and resource allocation for optimal output.
  • Gather, organize, and maintain proposal documents from internal sources (such as Finance, Sustainability, Operations and more), ensuring a comprehensive Knowledge Library.
  • Support internal projects aimed at improving sales effectiveness and efficiency.

Direct customer support: 

  • Create quotation solutions based on Steelcase and third-party product offerings, for both direct and indirect business models.
  • Translate quotations into the pricing spreadsheet.
  • Communicate with internal and sometimes external customers to understand and define project requirements and propose suitable solutions.
  • Collaborate with team members and external teams across EMEA and globally to fulfill requests from start to finish.
  • Maintain a thorough understanding of Steelcase, partner, and third-party product portfolios through product trainings (for existing and new products to be launched).
  • Review and process quotes and orders for the direct business model.
  • Interpret drawings and configure basic applications in Pcon Planner.
  • Provide timely and accurate responses to support sales efforts, contributing to increased win rates and profitability.
  • Generate customized customer sales reports using SAP extracts, Excel, Tableau, and PowerPoint.

The French sales support team is part of a unique pool of varied expertise supporting the French Sales organization on a day to day basis as well as on key customer projects through tenders. Multi-disciplinary, agile with a strong business and customer mindset each individual thrive to support through their expertise at each step of our sales cycle to provide the best support and experience to our customers.  The core team is located in Paris with some team members across French regions.

Who You Are: 

Required Skills and Competencies 

  • Fluent in English and French; 
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint;
  • Ability to effectively manage the pressure of tight deadlines and multiple requests with a dedicated focus on finding solutions.
  • Demonstrates a high level of diligence and attention to detail.
  • Possesses critical thinking and problem solving skills.
  • Demonstrates excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Demonstrates a commitment to understanding processes and driving continuous improvement.
  • Demonstrates effective communication skills, flexibility and assertiveness.

Preferred Skills and Competencies

  • Apprenticeship or bachelor’s degree, preferably in Business, Communication or Marketing;
  • 0-2 years’ experience in sales, marketing or sales support functions;
  • Experience in project management is a plus;
  • Good knowledge of the sales journey and broad general business knowledge.
