*Availability for a flexible working schedule: ideally, your working hours would be from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. as half of the time would be dedicated to North America related tasks and collaboration with our teams there.

The Web Communications Specialist will oversee the maintenance of Steelcase’s digital experiences: Steelcase.com (9 sites), Village (6 sites), coalesse.com (4 sites), DealerWeb (60 sites). They will be part of the Digital Content team based in the Communications department, connecting on a global level (EMEA and Americas mostly, but also Asia Pacific) to ensure the Steelcase sites are up to date and reflect our brand.

What You Will Be Doing:

• Manage the requests we get by applying the standards of the websites, user experience best practices, and digital content standards;
• Create new web pages and optimize for performance (monitoring the page, reviewing analytics, collaborating with our SEO partners);
• Ensure a great customer experience by sending regular updates to our internal clients, providing specific feedback and completing the requests within the established timeframe;
• Coordinate European translations and maintain (uploading, updating) information within these sites;
• Create full digital experiences thinking through all connection points across our sites and taking into account promotion, social media, lead gen, dot com, A&D platforms;
• Be proactive when pages can be improved, or content is outdated;
• Propose new goals and objectives, based on demonstrated performance and lessons learned, to keep improving the user experience of our sites;
• Maintain a global vision; if there is a request for a certain area of the site, this information might need to be updated as well on another location or website;
• Collaborate effectively with colleagues, leaders and management to achieve the desired business results;
• Help update internal digital content guidelines and training documents alongside the whole team;
• Learn constantly about branding and the Steelcase brand identity by reading the 360 magazines, brochures, our POVs, brand book, Steelcase.com style guide and constant reading of our social media content;
• Acquire knowledge and stay in tune with the latest trends on topics like: SEO, UX, Analytics, Digital Marketing, Digital Content, Web standards.

• Strong communication skills and demonstrate high work standards and initiative;
• Good analytical skills with strong attention to detail;
• Able to work with global, remote teams;
• Able to multitask, plan and organize well your workload;
• Must be an enthusiastic, quick learner, and open-minded;

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, or Business preferred;
• 0-2 years of experience with Digital Content Management Systems (CMS), Web communications, digital marketing, digital content;
• English at a proficient level; another European language is an asset (Spanish – medium/advanced speaking level – would be a plus);
• WordPress knowledge is a plus;
• Customer support skills are a plus;
