Senior Payroll Specialist (m/f/d)

This is a great opportunity to join our Country Payroll Team as a Senior Payroll Specialist, part of the Romania HR Payroll Department located in our Shared Service Center Cluj. In this role you will be reporting directly to the Country Payroll Manager and will be responsible for complex local payroll activities. In our team you will have the chance to work with local experts and be the key user for specific payroll activities. You will focus on continuous improvement initiatives, professional development and growth of payroll expertise.

 Your task:

• Administration of payroll accounting for a specific location (salary payment, posting, third party liabilities)
• Monitoring data quality for payroll
• Supporting the preparation of the monthly / yearly closing procedures and the annual financial Statement
• Ensure compliance with legislation and local agreements
• Apply and provide support on legislative topics, involving solid knowledge of labor and payroll legislation
• Generate specific daily, monthly, quarterly and annual reports in his area of responsibility
• Create and updates training manuals specific to Payroll and Personnel Administration
• Propose improvement ideas in the SAP system regarding Payroll and Personnel Administration processes
• Proactively identify problems and risks in the payroll process and takes measures to resolve them
• Periodically run test in the SAP system regarding changes made to processes due to legislation up-dates or improvements of the system
• Service provider for local HR Business and Service Partners and employees
• Actively participate in preparation and offer support for internal and external audits
• Contact person for employees and authorities regarding tax, social insurance and pay related questions
• Cooperation with other teams in the shared service center
  
  

  Your skills:

• University degree in Economics, Financial or related fields;
• Minimum 3 years’ experience in payroll;
• Familiar with payroll procedures;
• Strong knowledge in the areas labor law and collective agreement law;
• Strong knowledge and experience with country specific fiscal law and social security law
• Attention to details
• Resilience
• Pro-active and self-motivated;
• Versatile, flexible and team player;
• Preferably SAP HCM Software knowledge for modules PA, OM, PY and PT
• MS Office – Excel advanced
• Good level of English language
