Role Overview
As a Support Engineer, you will have the opportunity to support NYFIX – one of the world's largest order routing networks enabling ultra-low touch, low-impact market access, and end-to-end transaction processing for both buy-side and sell-side clients. You will be part of the Global FIX Support Team, an international team that assists global financial institutions across the world.
You will be part of a mission-critical team with excellent exposure to fast-paced, high-tech environments spanning trading solutions across various product types, exchanges, and continents.
Your primary responsibility is providing support for NYFIX as well as our FIX Engines and Tools. Working closely with both internal and external stakeholders, you will help solve complex issues while also gaining exposure to the world of Capital Markets and work with some of the biggest names in the industry.
Responsibilities:
Collaborate and interact with customers using the web, email, and phone to help understand, troubleshoot and resolve problems.
Deliver technical support to our customers.
Managing documentation of our team.
Perform analysis of system log files and product documentation to determine the correct resolution path.
Follow established processes and procedures to provide best-in-class customer support, including detailed incident management, follow-up, and follow-through.
Qualifications:
Graduate in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent courses
Previous related work experience is a plus
Basic understanding of Linux and command-line interface
Familiar with Java, XML
Good communication skills and fluency in English is a must
Analytical and problem-solving skills
General knowledge of the financial industry or FIX protocol is a plus
