Hosting and Compute Operations Engineer 1 year

The Hosting and Compute Operations Engineer will be responsible for managing Virtualization, Linux, Windows, Nutanix, Data Protection and Storage. You will work both independently and with other members of the team to respond to Service Requests, Problems, Incidents and Change Requests.

In This Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:

• Operational understanding and functional troubleshooting of all above enumerated technologies
• Working with users to fix complex operational issues;
• Cloud capacity planning management and metrics reporting;
• Ensuring accurate data backup configuration and monitoring, on-demand or test restores, tape management included;                                                                                                           
• Assisting in working with vendors and datacenter technicians for installing/replacing hardware as needed. 
• Continuous improvement for existing processes;

For This Role, You Will Need:

• Understanding of Virtualization, NSX-T, Storage, Data Protection, Windows, and Linux/Unix environments;
• Previous experience in Infrastructure IT on professional environments    
• Knowledge of VMware products;
• Operational network knowledge of routing & switching technologies;
• Knowledge of scripting languages and techniques;
• Proficiency in English (written and verbal)
• Willingness to learn new technologies. 

Preferred Qualifications that Set You Apart: 

• Cloud certifications for Azure, OCI, AWS.
