Test Automation System Engineer (m/f/d)

WHAT TO EXPECT

• Collaborate with developers and suppliers to identify root causes of errors, manage tickets in JIRA, and document technical changes.
• With a degree in electrical or automotive engineering and strong communication skills, you'll play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and reliability of our automotive software solutions.

Ideal candidate 

YOUR PROFILE

• Bachelor or Master degree in electrical engineering, computer science, automotive engineering, or a comparable degree program
• Experience in development of automotive software. Ideally experience in the established automotive trace tools, loggers and test racks.
• Knowledge of Confluence, Jira, CodeBeamer or similar
• Knowledge of the programming languages C/C++, Java and knowledge of Git;
• Initial experience in working with EDIABAS, E-Sys  is considered a plus;
• Knowledge or interest in Fault / Defect analysis in automotive.
• Communication skills and a professional attitude towards customers.
• Analytical thinking, initiative, and a structured and independent way of working.
• Ability to work in a team and experience with Agile working methodologies, especially with SCRUM.
• English business fluent is required, German language knowledge is considered a plus

YOUR TASKS

• Define test cases per release, document successful releases
• Documentation of the analysis results in the error database and review of the results together with the developers and suppliers
• Investigation of the technical documentations of the development status of the control units
• Get in contact to the developers or suppliers for error pre-analysis and root cause identification with the respective suppliers, coordination of error reduction planning
• Test documentation in ALM for each of the software versions (weekly SW deliveries from the series supplier)
• Ticket management in JIRA and error management tool
• Documentation of technical changes and lessons learned in our project
• Organization and coordinating of vehicle integration-tests for control units
• Support of the project leader, implementation planning and preparing of project meetings
