Record to Report Specialist

 

Your role:

The Record to Report Specialist is responsible for ensuring the deliverables of the local finances for the General Ledger and Closing & Reporting processes. A strong understanding of (BT) processes and systems will be necessary to ensure the deliverables and to understand performance requirements, identify service shortcomings with the Stakeholders and Finance Managers, suggest process performance improvements.

 

Your high-level challenges:

Expertise and operational performance:

  • Strong expertise in designated field in GL&CR with deep accounting understanding;
  • Covers all major operational accounting areas in the department, provides guidance for ongoing or new projects, initiatives;
  • Prepare and support solid functional trainings to utilize efficiently the existing ERP solutions and processes;
  • Training for other SSC team members;
  • Support TL on operational field in department.

 

Lead Standardization projects:

  • Drive and implement standardization on process based on best practices;
  • Knowledge and contribution to process improvement regardless on ERP systems or country;
  • Ensure governance and financial compliance for all GL&CR activities performed in area of expertise;
  • Ensure cost effectiveness by reduction of complexity in specialization.

 

Operational Performance Management:

  • Support the achievement of SLA and OLA commitments;
  • Recommend effective process documentation methods and insure the implementation to secure knowledge, stability and continuity;
  • Insure financial governance through integration of key internal controls within the process design and documentations;
  • Prepare and support solid functional trainings to utilize efficiently the existing ERP solutions and processes;
  • Determine the right system solution, tools and interfaces towards the various business needs with the aim to reduce the system complexity;
  • Establish a standardized project management strategy to shorten the system implementation time and increase the cost efficiency and quality.

 

Management of Business Partner Relationship:

  • Insure the effective communication within the finance organization as well as with the interdependent functions to foster open and proactive information sharing and decision making;
  • Supports the identification of key internal/external stakeholder needs and expectations and the assessment of the priority evaluation;
  • Act as business partner towards the finance organization and the cross functional stakeholder.

 

Would love you to have:

  • Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance, CFA/CPA/ACCA certification is a plus;
  • Experience: 3 - 5 years of experience in accounting or finance. Proven work experience in Accounting and Reporting field;
  • Familiar with International Accounting Standards (IAS) and International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS);
  • Experience in project management;
  • Experience in SAP ERP system is a plus;
  • PC literate (MS-office tools);
  • English advanced.
