IT Infrastructure Advisor

Performs tasks such as, but not limited to, the following:

Directs the activities of a group of technical staff to monitor all activities of the project. Arranges for necessary corrective actions to ensure high-quality results. Directs testing and analysis of all elements of the project to verify progress against project objectives. Designs strategic solutions to meet Celestica requirements at the site level. Plans and implements complex technology changes. Evaluates and analyses new requirements, and determines alternatives. Provides third level support (and expertise) to solve very complex issues.

Network and datacentre infrastructure management
IT security, global policy and global procedures enforcement and compliance

Knowledge/Skills/Competencies:

• Technical knowledge of specific areas of computer operations/.applications support.
• Extensive knowledge of IT requirement for an end to end solution, including security, business continuity and disaster recovery.
• Knowledge of the latest hardware, software and network technology.
• Excellent problem solving skills.
• Strong project management skills.
• Excellent communication, negotiation and presentation skills.
• Experience on large/critical network and infrastructure support.
• Networking knowledge (VLANS, configuration of switches, routers, firewalls)
• Data Centre Knowledge
• Virtualisation technologies
• Windows & Linux knowledge

• Client orientated, calm with the ability to prioritise

Typical Experience:

• Six to eight years
  Typical Education:
• Bachelor’s degree in related field, or consideration of an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Other 3rd party certificates for Networking and or Servers / Data Centres / Virtualisation
