Requirements Engineer

We’re looking for a seasoned, ambitious, highly structured, highly motivated, Requirements Engineer to join our growing team. As a member of our fast-paced group, you will be provided with the unique and rewarding opportunity to be part of our company re-organisational strategy by shaping the future of our upcoming products. Your role will be part of the Engineering team and will span across all Telenav’s sites (US, EU and China), your work being visible at the highest company structures.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Define detailed software requirements from the product requirements
• Work closely with the Product Management and Engineering teams to meet the required detailing level
• Identify and document edge cases that are not covered by the product requirements 
• Collaborate with Telenav's QA department and support the development of acceptance tests
• Establish and maintain quality standards for the software requirements
• Provide hands-on and lead-by-example direction opposite to a purely theoretical approach
• Ensure traceability between product requirements and software requirements
• Properly engage senior management relative to review findings and issues to influence necessary change and ensure the adequacy of corrective actions/plans
• Constantly train internal departments into the established structure and reasons behind it. Loop back the received feedback

REQUIREMENTS:

• Experience of software requirements capture, management and tracking
• Knowledge of any requirements management system
• Understanding of high level software architecture
• Knowledge of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC)
• Comfortable with fast paced schedule driven development
• Excellent cross-functional communication & influence skills
• Strong analytical & critical thinking
