Team Leader for Software Test Automation Engineering

The focus of the Team Leader for Software Test Automation team is the technical involvement and coordination of his/ her team, coordinates the professional activities of his/ her team in line with the department strategy, standards, process requirements and timeline.
• Areas of his team activity: software requirements testing for automotive electronic control units, HIL testing, test automation (in detail bellow, section "would be a plus").

As a Team Leader in our Software Test Automation team you will do plenty of:

• Disciplinary and technical leadership for one of our software test teams, mentor and coach your teammates on both technical and non-technical areas;
• Plan, organize, lead, control and support the work assignments of the colleagues in your team, in order to ensure they deliver high quality testing solutions on their assigned projects; allocate incoming work, existing resources and sets up priorities in order to meet upcoming / ongoing tasks and have balanced workload;
• Contributing to the internal communication regarding the presentation of technical results; be the main contact person between internal customers and team members;
• Manage hiring, career planning, training plans and salary recommendations of your team members;
• Perform periodical evaluation for team members, track performance, motivation, give & receive feedback, discuss the roadmap and plan actions if necessary;
• Collaborate with other Vitesco development teams to ensure synchronization across multiple teams, contributing to the final Vitesco deliverables; international collaboration is required;
• Might perform Software Test Management activities within projects: define test strategies, plan, execute and release test activities, track and monitor test activities, report test statuses;

As a Team Leader in our Software Test Automation team you will bring with you:

• University degree in electronical/electric/software engineering or comparable qualification;
• Experience in embedded software/system/test area/automotive R&D;
• Experience in people management (project management, test management, people management);
• Very good English language skills (written and spoken); good communication and presentation skills; passion for work in an international team;
• Good analytical reasoning, problem solving oriented, ability to understand complex systems, initiative, dedication, attention to detail; good planning and organizing abilities;
• Self-motivated, able to work both independently and in a team environment;

Would be a plus:

• Knowledge in system / software test levels (test techniques, methods, levels, ISTQB, etc);
• Knowledge in specifications / requirements analysis and management (eg. using tools like DOORS, JIRA, MKS);
• Knowledge with Automotive testing tools and Software (CANoe, CANalyzer, CANape, INCA, Lauterbach, DSPACE simulators / ControlDesk, Matlab Simulink, etc);
• Knowledge with Automotive standards and communication protocols (CAN / FlexRay /Ethernet);
• Knowledge with programming languages such as C/C++, CAPL, Python, etc;
• Knowledge in Project Management methodology, Time Management, Change Management and Product Life Cycle;
• Knowledge of Safety critical systems design techniques and methods (e.g. ISO 26262);
• Knowledge of electronics, microcontrollers, measurement equipment;
