Discipline Project Leader for Mechanical Engineering

You will be responsible for leading advance and application projects for DCDC Converters or High Voltage Inverters. You will need to ensure the technical development of the products, keeping in mind the time schedule, costs and quality, according to the customer requirements.
The TPL coordinates the technical project activities which must be carried out for the project by the organizational unit in Development and Testing and is therefore the contact person for the System Technical Project Leader (STPL). He/she is a member of the Design Team.   

Role and responsibilities:

• Customer project acquisition and customer project development.
• Technical presentations to the customer.
• Autonomous communication to the customer.
• Requirements Management of all mechanical customer requirements.
• Change and Risk Management Activities.
• Assign and oversee the daily tasks of team members while ensuring they are actively working toward established milestones.
• Hold regular technical team meetings to determine progress and address any questions or challenges regarding projects.
• Collaboration in the regular budget review (timesheet) with the System TPL.
• Determine and define clear deliverables, roles and responsibilities for team members.
• Direct the work of multi-disciplinary teams and ensure that project milestones are met on time and to budget, thus ensuring that project margins are achieved.
• Collaborates with the System TPL for a successful project release.
• Follow the Automotive Development Process.
• Support a smooth product launch in production.
• Availability for business travels.

Job requirements:

• Relevant experience as mechanical engineer.
• Experience working in a high-level collaborative environment and promoting a teamwork mentality.
• Managerial experience applying analytical thinking and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to predict challenges and seek to proactively head-off obstacles.
• Negotiation skills.
• Leadership ability to motivate and moderate, thus driving for results.
• Good knowledge of technologies (die-cast , injection molding, deep-drawing, punching ,machining, assembly techniques);
• Knowledge in using CAD tools (CREO – preferable);
• Good MS Office knowledge and skills.
• Knowledge of High Voltage Automotive products is a plus.
• Knowledge of the international high voltage standards.
• English language is mandatory; German is a plus
