Role purpose
The
ebilling assistant will sit within our ebilling team within the Finance and
Accounting Department at CMS. Working
closely with the offshore ebilling team, internal stakeholders, the wider
finance team and external clients.
Need to do
- Extracting
invoice data and converting into uploadable formats (e.g. LEDES) in order to
upload to client ebilling / eCommerce portals
- Liaising with clients, internal stakeholders and the wider finance team to
obtain matter/purchase order numbers to enable invoice submissions.
- Promptly identifying rejected invoices along with reasons for the rejection and
working to resolve as quickly as possible or escalate with the ebilling team
leader, internal stakeholders and the wider finance team where applicable.
- Updating financial information into eBilling / eCommerce portals such as budget
and accrual information.
- Highlight and escalate any potential problematic clients to the ebilling
process manager and ebilling analyst to enable thorough investigations to take
place.
- Reviewing invoices to ensure billing accuracy and compliance with client
requirements
- Quickly developing knowledge around the different portal requirements.
- Monitoring and dealing with ebilling email queries into a busy central inbox.
- Continually checking reports to ensure no invoices are missed for submission
and problems are flagged as quickly as possible.
Need to Know
We are looking for individuals who are
adaptable, proactive, and able to resolve differing queries and prioritise their workload.
The right candidate will have:
- Excellent communication skills and a good understanding of excel and other
Microsoft applications.
- Previous experience in an ebilling/finance administrator role is preferable.
- Strong
attention to detail.
- Knowledge of professional services billing systems is desirable.
- Working knowledge of an ERP based accounting system
