Fullstack NodeJS Developer

Miele Tehnica is a subsidiary of Miele & Cie. KG, Germany. We produce electronic components for a wide range of Miele appliances, such as washing machines, tumble dryers, vacuum cleaners, ovens and other household appliances. The products Miele offers to its customers set the standards for durability, performance, ease of use, energy efficiency, design and service.

We are looking for an experienced NodeJS developer, highly passionate about developing performant, resilient and delightful frontend and backend applications. Joining one of our DevOps teams you’ll help us building and operating an innovative digital product and tools for Miele professional customers.

Responsibilities:

• Technical conception and implementation of responsive web applications and ElectronJS apps
• Involvement in creating a cross-application component UI library
• Definition and implementation of automated tests
• Performance of code reviews
• Further development and conception of existing frontend/backend architectures
• Close cooperation with UX experts, designers and developers in interdisciplinary teams
• International cooperation with other DevOps teams

Must have:

• At least 3 years of experience in developing frontend and backend applications in NodeJS using JavaScript/TypeScript
• At least 2 years of experience using React / Angular and ElectronJS
• Knowledge in the creation of unit tests (Jest, Marble-Testing)
• Secure handling in responsive web design
• Experience in exposing and connecting service interfaces with REST
• Experience and affinity for agile software development
• Fluent English

Nice to have:

• Knowledge of IoT ecosystems
• Good understanding of build processes in GitLab
• Experience with third-party component libraries (UI Bootstrap, Material Design UI)

Education:

Bachelor or master’s degree in Business Engineering, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
