Profile

▪ Mandatory proven work experience as a SysAdmin, DevOps or SRE Engineer with Linux, Ansible and Docker
▪ Previous experience with OpenStreetMaps (major advantage)
▪ Previous experience with PostgreSQL maintenance/administration (advantage)
▪ AWS, Kubernetes (not mandatory)
▪ Excellent organizational skills
▪ Interpersonal and communication skills
▪ Advanced level of written and spoken English (you will work within a mix team from Romania and France)
▪ Team player

Nice to have

▪ Knowledge in SQL and Database servers (Oracle is an advantage)
▪ Programming or advanced scripting experience – Java, C, C#, Perl, Python, PowerShell
▪ AIX, HP/UX, other Unix-style OS experience (administration)
▪ Knowledge of fingerprint, facial or iris biometrics

Project Overview

▪ We are looking for a Service Reliability Engineer to join our team in a challenging project in collaboration with a French client, one of the biggest players on the international market in terms of fleet management and GPS car monitoring systems. In this role, you will deploy and maintain the OpenStreetMap service ().
▪ The fleet management platform is currently under migration from an obsolete tech stack (Erlang, REAC) with on-premise deployment to modern technologies with micro-services architecture like Java Spring and AWS services hosted on cloud.
▪ Tech stack: Linux, Ansible, Docker, AWS, OpenStreetMap, PostgreSQL, Java, SpringBoot, Redis.

Responsibilities

▪ Provisioning an up-to-date version of OpenStreetMap, in a Docker image which will run both on-premise and on AWS
▪ Populating the database with up to date maps
▪ Deploy Nominatim (a service linked to OpenStreetMap that performs reverse-geocoding, allowing to transform GPS coordinates into street names)
▪ To be confirmed: deploy OSRM service that allows to plot a trip from point A to point B
