You will be primarily responsible for working on IIoT software product development to contribute to the Emerson Digital Transformation product portfolio.

IN THIS ROLE YOU WILL:

• Understand Project/Work Scope, plan and deliver quality output/deliverables to meet the expected schedule and timeline;
• Complete interoperability tests and analysis of the end device’s compliance with the different protocols;
• Solve device communication issues related to customer’s software and hardware;
• Improve and confirm Specification Documents from an IT perspective with respect to product and project guidelines;
• Collaborate with IIoT Engineering Managers, other departments and stakeholders through Verbal & Written Communication;
• Be responsible for evaluating architectures and solutions. It will also include ideation with Engineering stakeholders and prototyping of solutions using common IIoT platforms and protocols;

FOR THIS ROLE YOU WILL NEED:

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering Programming/ IT or any relevant field;
• Minimum 3 years of experience in programming and SW development;
• Familiarity with common Linux and Windows operating systems and general commands;
• Proven understanding of software development fundamentals;
• Strong understanding of data networking and security concepts;
• Enhanced knowledge of IIoT-relevant communication protocols such as
  • OPC UA ((Protocol & Data Modelling)
  • MQTT and other PUB/SUB protocols
  • HTTP / REST
• Requested software knowledge:
  • GIT
  • DOCKER
  • .Net Core/C#
• Appreciated additional knowledge:
  • Microservice Architecture
  • Flow Computer Protocols (i.e. ROC, Modbus, DNP3)
  • Data Security
  • Node-Red
  • InfluxDB/SQL Server/PostgreSQL
  • Grafana
  • Python
• A quality Assurance background is a plus;
• IT background with a focus on network troubleshooting is a plus;
