SUMMARY OF ROLE

The Market Development Representative has the responsibility to analyze the market on Therm-O-Disc strategic targeted industries, identify potential partners and customer (leads and prospects) and introduce Therm-O-Disc’s added value for their core business in order to set-up and plan meetings in close cooperation with inside sales and the sales managers.

SPECIFIC JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

• Market Research on strategic target industries in Europe

• Develops best-in-class analytic deliverables, presenting them to internal team members;

• Attends industry conferences, events, trade shows, customers visits, as directed and discussed by the Sales Manager Europe;

• Works with team members to scope, shape and transform (specific) business/industry questions into analyses leading to actionable results; 

• Identify relevant leads resulted from market research within different potential customers, their subsidiaries in Europe and R&D/procurement departments;

• Uses offline tools such as LinkedIn, company website, or other Emerson divisions to learn about the new lead and identify relevant contact information;

• Monitors and attends industry trade shows in order to identify new leads. 

• Follow-up on leads from market researches, trade shows, conferences or provided by Sales Managers and identifies the ones which have business potential for Therm-O-Disc;

• Qualifies identified leads through cold calling, cold emailing, social media or else;

• Conducts needs analysis to determine prospects pain points and determines ways that Therm-O-Disc solutions would solve those needs;

• Hands over qualified leads/ business opportunities to Sales Manager;

• Manages data for new and prospective leads using the Leads Management System ensuring all information is logged, accurate and up to date.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

• Requires a 3-5 year’s of relevant marketing / sales experience in preferably the automotive industry;

• University Degree in Marketing, PR and Communications or Equivalent;

• Excellent English - written and verbal communication skills;

• Medium level of German - written and verbal communication skills;

• Knowledge of marketing, sales principles and the different stages in the sales process;

• In-depth knowledge of the automotive industry represents an advantage;

• Technical affinity and insights represents an advance;

• Strong interpersonal skills.
