YOUR PROFILE

• An engineering degree in mechanical- automotive engineering or equivalent is required
• Working experience within automotive would be a plus
• You are confident user or willing to learn CATIA V5 (G.Shape Design, Drafting, Part Design, Assembly)
• Proficient use of MS Office tools
• Reliable team player and being able to perform independently
• Good organizational ability and communication skills in English (at least B2 mandatory)
• Owning German language skills would be considered as advantage
• Highly motivated in developing future mobility and electric cars for OEMs and Start Up companies worldwide

Job description

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES

• Design and development of innovative components of the electric battery: cooling, cell module, connection and contacting system as well as housings & covers from the concept phase to series maturity
• Geometric integration of battery components in Hybrid and Electric Vehicles considering criteria's like feasibility, compact built, lightweight structure, environmental friendly manufacturing methods, durability  
• Development of the components in an interdisciplinary team as well as coordination with the internal process partners and the external suppliers
• Use of different joining & manufacturing techniques for injection molded-, die cast-, composite- and stamped vehicle components
• Future candidate has to understand, interpret & create technical documentations, quality drawings of single parts & assemblies, BOM and to support release processes.
• Also has to be able to understand and apply GD&T and to perform tolerance analysis.
• Handling of the data in the PDM system (creation of parts & alternatives, creation of release models and structures)
• You will work in close co-operation with our existing team, however we expect you to work independently and be open to change
