Design Engineer

Tasks & accountabilities

-          Development and design of primary and secondary structures (CFRP and metal)

-          Independent definition and creation of preliminary design concepts

-          Creation of manufacturing reference drawing documentation (e.g. Catia V5) – 3D and 2D standard procedures

-          Checking of drawings

-          Managing parts and assembly’s configuration in PDM System

-          Design space checks in DMU

-          Harmonization with stress and manufacturing

-          Definition and support of tests (e.g. prototypes)

-          Planning and managing of work packages, technical agreements with customers

-          Managing Engineering Suppliers (planning, technical agreements)

-          Execution of small improvement projects within the frame of principal tasks

-          Supporting manufacturing with concessions

-          Supporting with change evaluations (MOD process)

Required skills

-          Good knowledge of design of composite and metallic parts in context of aircraft development

-          Project management experience

-          Experience with dealing with Airbus processes

-          Knowledge in aircraft configuration process

Technical knowledge / IT Tools

-          Sound knowledge of Catia V5 and CPD (Catia Composite Design)

-          PASS SSCI, Enovia VPM, Taxi

-          MS-Office
