Senior DevOps Engineer

Key tasks and responsibilities:

We are looking for a Senior DevOps Engineer to join our Digital Platform team in CEE Internet Banking and Public Website department. You will be leading the DevOps efforts for within an infrastructure project that will power three 24/7 applications exposed to the end customers of the banks.
You will update, deploy, and monitor systems developed by the team, passionately looking for opportunities to improve performance, reliability, and automation.

We expect from the candidate to handle following tasks:

• To learn and adhere to UniCredit Services processes and policies
• To have an aptitude and ability to build and maintain continuous integration (CI) and continuous deployment (CD) systems for complex, distributed applications, using tools like Jenkins
• To automate our deployment process, customizations, upgrades and monitoring for all our different applications
• To analyze and improve efficiency, scalability, and stability of the various applications we run
• To securely provision, revoke and manage secrets
• To build from scratch, when needed, scripts to make things happen
• To guide us to better tools and practices, and help in adopting better technologies

Qualifications and Competencies:

• At least 5+ years hands-on experience in infrastructure engineering, DevOps, or software engineering staff member
• In-depth experience with continuous integration and deployment automation tools such as Jenkins, Travis CI, Ansible, Puppet, Chef, Salt, or equivalent
• Proficient with container technologies like Docker & Kubernetes
• Understanding of tools like Splunk, Grafite/Graphana, Nagios and/or other monitoring technology
• Able to build tools from scratch when needed
• Excellent Python, bash, and scripting fundamentals
• Proficient at Linux system administration
• Experience with Git
• Knowledge of Agile principles and practical experience is welcomed
• Expertise with cloud architectures such as AWS, GCE, Azure, or similar is a plus
